How do I treat pilot watches?Safety instructions: Keep your watch away from magnetic fields. These can damage the clock and lead to inaccurate time being given. Avoid direct contact with body lotion, hairspray or perfume, as this will get stuck in the gaps between the watch band and dirty the watch. Clean the watch with a soft cloth. If there is dirt in hard-to-reach places, use a little spray water and a soft brush. The watch is waterproof for everyday use, such as washing hands or showering. However, swimming is harmful as water can enter the housing. If you are storing your watch for a long time, pull out the crown to the second position. This saves the battery. Store your watch in a dry environment. High temperature differences, high humidity and long exposure to sunlight are harmful. Therefore, do not wear your watch when taking a sauna or sunbathing. Always have the battery changed at a specialist dealer, as a special tool is required.
